Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward answers about referrals, scheduling, the patient portal, and Restore Pain Center’s cash-pay care model.

Do new patients need a referral?

Yes. New patients need an established chronic pain diagnosis and a referral from a medical provider before they can be seen. A referral helps the care team review relevant medical history, prior treatment, and available records.

May I request an appointment before my referral is received?

Yes. You may submit an appointment request before the referral arrives. However, Restore Pain Center must receive the referral before you can be seen. Referring offices may fax referrals to 601-510-5268.

Does Restore Pain Center accept insurance?

No. Restore Pain Center does not accept or bill insurance. All services are provided on a cash-pay basis. Contact the office for current information about consultation fees, follow-up visits, and accepted payment methods.

Can I receive a superbill?

Restore can provide a superbill that patients may submit directly to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on the individual insurance plan.

Are walk-ins accepted?

No. All visits are by appointment only, and walk-ins cannot be accommodated.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Patients are encouraged to bring relevant medical records, imaging reports when available, current medication information, documentation from treating providers, and referral information if it was provided directly to the patient.

Who should use the OptiMantra patient portal?

The OptiMantra portal is for established patients who have been entered into the system and have a scheduled appointment. New patients may use the secure appointment-request form to get started.

Does an appointment request guarantee a particular medication or treatment?

No. Clinical decisions are made by the physician based on an independent evaluation, diagnosis, medical history, available records, examination, and clinical judgment. Payment or a referral does not guarantee a particular medication, procedure, or treatment.
